Steven MollHead Coach
Moll finished his second season as Head Coach in 2024.
He led the Patriots to a third-place finish at Inter-Ac's and a fourth-place finish at PAISAA's in 2024. Four student-athletes were named to the All-League team.
Moll guided GA to a third-place finish at Inter-Ac's and a fourth at PAISAA Championships in 2023. Three student-athletes were named to the All-League team.
During his time in Fort Washington, Moll has had a few different roles with the track & field teams. While he cut his teeth as the throwing coach, Moll was also the pole vault coach last spring and has helped fill in other roles as needed. He also has helped with scheduling and planning the trajectory of the program. Moll has served in almost every coaching position for the Patriots football team as well.
A member of the Patriots’ track & field staff since 2013, Moll has coached Germantown Academy student-athletes to several school records in throwing events. The Patriots have become a force to be reckoned with in the Inter-Ac League as well as the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association. Student-athletes have been named Inter-Ac Champions 11 times, Outdoor PAISAA Champions eight times, and Indoor PAISAA Champions four times during Moll’s tenure with the track & field team. Most recently, Germantown Academy had 10 top-10 finishes at the PAISAA Championships, and 15 such finishes at the Inter-Ac Championship Meet in 2022.
Under Moll’s guidance during the 2018 and 2019 outdoor season, Meaghan Toscano ’20 set Inter-Ac records in the girls shot put, discus and javelin, and PAISAA records in the girls shot put and discus. Olatide Abinusawa ’19 set the mark in the boys discus in 2018.
“I’ve had a great opportunity to grow the throwing program,” Moll said. “We started building a connection between the Middle and Upper School throwers years back. Twice a week, Upper School athletes are collaborating with me to coach and mentor the Middle School athletes. Working with both divisions has developed unity in the GA track and field program. This type of work is what I am most passionate about. My goal is to expand this model to include all events."

Carey Stadium (310 Morris Road, Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, 19034) is home to GA track and field. It was opened in 2010 as a multi-sport facility that includes a 200 x 380’ artificial turf field, a regulation track surface with six lanes, high jump area, long jump pit and easy on-and-off sideline access. Lines are drawn on the field for football, soccer and lacrosse. The bleacher seating can accommodate 850 spectators and are handicap accessible. Carey Stadium also houses a concession stand equipped with electrical, an ice machine and a reach-in cooler; restroom facilities, as well as two team gathering rooms, private referee room and a trainer’s room equipped with sink, ice machine and treatment bed. The scoreboard in the corner of the Stadium is a multi-sport unit that displays the game clock, home and away scores, time outs left, quarter and football-related information. There is a sound system that is operated from the top of the Stadium where there is a 10-seat granite-topped work area with several electrical outlets and jacks for the microphone and music; all protected by an awning. The Stadium speakers are located on top of the scoreboard. There are several handicap parking spaces adjacent to the entrance to the Stadium in addition to more than 200 spaces spread between two parking lots for the outdoor athletics complex. More parking is available on the GA campus by crossing the Wissahickon Creek by car and returning by foot on the brick pathway. Germantown Academy has hosted many lacrosse and soccer tournaments and was the home to the first coed Inter-Academic Athletic League Track and Field Championships in 2012.
